Requirements Hardware

  • 4 GB Memory (see the table "Virtual Appliance Variants" that covers ram specifications for each appliance type)
  • 80 GB Hard Disk (SATA/SAS)
  • 64 BIT INTEL Atom DualCore 1,8 GHz
  • 1 x USB Port
  • 2 x LAN
  • Ubuntu 18.04 Linux has to run without issues

Please note that we cannot check and guarantee every hardware constellation, especially because our kernel version may differ from the default Ubuntu for security reasons.
Especially in the area of bios or used Raid controllers, it is possible that our ISO does not work, so we generally recommend the use of a virtualised appliance.

Three components are necessary to create a bootable USB stick:

  • The correct ISO image. This can be found on our Downloads web page: Produkt Downloads
  • A tool to write the ISO Image on the USB Stick, e.g. Win 32 Disk Imager
  • An USB stick with at least 4 GB of available space.

Before powering on the Appliance with your REDDOXX USB Stick, the boot order needs to be adjusted in your bios.
Select "USB" as first boot device.
It is possible, that after the “POST”, a special F-button command will bring you directly to the boot menu.

The installation process is explained in the following document: Installation steps
