Metrics

You can view telemetry data from the appliance via Metrics.
For the display and transmission of optional telemetry data, the appliance must be able to reach the following hosts via https:

  • metrics-db-v1.customer.reddoxx.com
  • metrics-ui-v1.customer.reddoxx.com

You can activate the evaluation at any time and of course deactivate it again.
After activation via "Enable metrics", the following boards are available:

  • System overview (Shows the utilisation of system resources such as CPU and memory)
  • NET per Interface (shows volume of transferred data and transfer errors per network card)
  • Uptime OS & Services (shows how many days the individual services have been running)
  • System Disk Usage (Shows how much hard disk capacity is in use)
  • SMTP Active Sessions (Shows how many active SMTP sessions there are per minute)
  • Processes (Shows the total number of processes running on the appliance)
  • SmtpServer Bytes per Minute (Shows how many bytes the SMTP server processes inbound and outbound per minute)
  • SmtpServer Messages per Minute (shows how many inbound and outbound e-mails the SMTP server processes per minute)
  • SmtpReceiver Connections per Minute (shows how many inbound and outbound connections the SMTP receiver has per minute)
  • SmtpClient Bytes per Minute (Shows how many bytes the SMTP client processes inbound and outbound per minute)
  • SmtpClient Messages per Minute (shows how many inbound and outbound e-mails the SMTP client processes per minute)
  • SmtpClient Connections per Minute (Shows how many inbound and outbound connections the SMTP client has per minute)
  • Memory Usage of Services (shows how much memory is used by which service on the appliance)
  • CPU Usage of Services (shows which service on the appliance uses how much CPU)

After activating, select the desired "Board", then you can display the determined values over a start and end period.

If an error occurs in the metric overview (e.g. "Invalid JWT"), this means that the service could not be started,
or was terminated during operation (e.g. due to insufficient memory).
You can then restart the service "REDDOXX System Manager" via Administration => Services to fix this.
